First time football mom here. I boiled mouthpieces and ruined them! I needed new ones last night. I pulled up at 9:26 pm trying to hurry bc I new it was 4 minutes to close! Not only did they tell me I was ok and take my time... a guy helped me find the right ones and went over how he used to boil his... they were awesome... we were in there on Saturday as well and even though they were super busy each customer was treated like they were the only ones there! Fabulous job ya'll! We are ready for some football now for sure :)
Needing a new soccer ball, I decided to stop by Dick's. The store was neatly organized, clean and easy to navigate. The employee working in team sports was quite helpful!
Had the boots he wanted!!! So we were happy. Helpful staff
If I could give this store a -10 I would. Not for the merchandise or anything..I have shopped here before. For the simple fact that I have a therapy dog in training, his name is Gage. I am training him myself so I take him to stores with me all the time to keep him socialized. Keep in mind that he is VERY well mannered and has NEVER tore up/broken anything in a store. I ALWAYS call ahead to make sure he is allowed in the store I am going in. I called Dick's Sporting Goods in Providence and asked them if dogs were allowed. The lady simply said yes, dogs are welcome. I walk in the store everyone greeted us, and I walked to the back to the archery section where a worker was on the phone. I was simply minding my own business when I hear the guy slam the phone down and stomp over to me and say, "Excuse me, he's not allowed in here. Is he a service dog?" I simply say "No, he's a therapy dog in training. I called ahead and they said it was fine that I brought him in here when I came." The guy looks at me and says," Do you have his papers with you, I need to see them?!" 1. It is COMPLETELY DISRESPECTFUL to ask that and 2. It is ILLEGAL! I just said "No, like I said he's in training and I left his bandana at home." He then goes on to say that I will need to leave along with my dog because he's not welcome in the store because of liability reasons. If Gage was jumping up and down, biting people and causing a scene I could understand wanting him to leave..but for 1. I called ahead. 2. He was sitting down not bothering anything while I was talkin to this young man. So long story short..I WILL NEVER SHOP THERE AGAIN! SCREW DICK'S!
